Turn static images into editable vectors with a new AI image tool, Vectorize. Bring hand-drawn sketches, old PNG icons, real-world textures, and more onto the canvas. Then recolor, scale, and refine them to create more expressive designs.

To get started, select an image on the canvas and click “Vectorize” in the AI image editing toolbar or in the Actions menu in Figma Design or Draw.

Now when multiple vector points are selected, a bounding box will appear so you can rotate, resize, and translate those vector points as you would any box selection in Figma. While in vector edit mode, you can draw a box, use the lasso tool, or select vector points one by one to produce a bounding box that you can use to manipulate all points at once.

The Glass effect is now generally available, with new updates that let you do more with Glass in Figma:

    • Add Glass to anything including any object, shape, or text, not just a frame.
    • Design Glass with non-uniform corners and precisely round each corner radius.
    • Use the Splay property to control how light bends around an object’s edges
    • Apply variables to Glass properties to easily connect to your design system.
