About Jaini

Jaini, designed by Ek Type, takes inspiration from Jain Kalpasutra manuscripts. Created in 2016 by Girish Dalvi and Maithili Shingre (Devanagari) and 2023 by Taresh Vohra (Latin), this typeface features squarish letters, short matras, and distinct conjunct formations, supporting Devanagari, Latin, and Latin-Extended scripts. It harmonizes historical calligraphy with modern design sensibilities.
